Brad is a professional Dungeon Master for hire. He mainly focuses on playing Dungeons and Dragons (5th Edition) but has experience with other RPGs systems as well.

Brad’s mission is to entertain and educate through engaging, interactive storytelling; all the while balancing the proper mixture of adventure and humor. He focuses on making the game accessible and exciting for both brand new players and veterans alike.

Brad began his professional DM experience running weekly games of D&D for students at Blue Highway Games, and has since expanded to private parties and after school clubs as well. Brad also runs online games for both students and adults alike. At Studio East, Brad has created a class that uses a simplified form of D&D as a platform for developing acting, character development, and improv skills.

He has a whole kit of adventuring supplies that he can pack up to bring the fun to you!

BOOKINGS AND PRICING

Brad’s rate is based on hours of gameplay. $100 for the first hour, with each additional hour at $50 after that. This helps to cover the cost of his preparation.

A single session of D&D is anywhere from 2-4 hours for kids and 4-5 hours for adults.

3-6 players works best, but there is flexibility on that front. (The game has a slower pace if you add too many players.)

Please message Brad on the CONTACT page for all booking requests or for more information.

TOOLS OF THE TRADE

Whether this is your first time ever trying Dungeons and Dragons, or you’re a well-seasoned adventurer, here is what you need to play the game:

dnd tools.jpg

1: YOUR IMAGINATION

D&D is a game that takes place primarily in the collective imagination of the people playing it. It’s like a wonderful combination of a book, a board game, and a video game all mashed into one! Prepare your imagination for feats of might and magic!

2: A CHARACTER SHEET

Character Sheets have all the information about who your hero is, what their powers are, and what they are good at. This is potentially the only difficult thing to prepare… that’s why Brad can do it for you! Once a game has been scheduled, let Brad know what characters need to be prepared. See the bottom of this “Tools” section for more information on Character Sheets.

3: A TEAM-PLAYING ATTITUDE

It took a fellowship to bring down the dark forces of Mordor, didn’t it? Adventuring is hard work, and that’s why you have allies to help you out. D&D is a collaborative story-telling game, so you need to work together with your friends and fellow adventurers to save the day. In the end, we want each and every player in the game to be having a blast!

EXTRA TOOLS FOR ONLINE PLAY

Online game sessions are run utilizing a combination of Zoom and a free virtual tabletop service called Roll20. Here is what you will need for adventures run over the web:

  • Stable Internet access.

  • A working microphone.

  • A free Roll20 account.

  • Limited outside distractions. (headphones can help!)

  • Snacks and water on hand are also a plus!

what to expect

Brad's unique flavor of storytelling roots back to his deep childhood love for Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda, and The Lord of the Rings. He likes to focus on helping his players develop compelling character arcs and backstories, and tries to maintain an equal balance of the three pillars of D&D: role-playing, combat, and exploration; however, the "Rule of Cool" will always win the day at his table - if there is something really fun and creative you want to do, Brad is always game to try it. If you're looking for charming characters, heartfelt moments, sweeping encounters, and a fair amount of silliness in between, then you've come to the right table.

CONTENT NOTICE: Brad will do his best to make sure that all of the fantasy worlds he creates are diverse and welcoming to players and heroes of all races, gender identities, and backgrounds. Violence, when necessary, will be kept as tasteful as possible, and themes of torture, sexual violence, and slavery will not be allowed. Think “The Hobbit” and not “Game of Thrones”. This is a fantasy world, after all - why not make it one that is even more tolerant and inclusive than the one we live in?
